About Lauren Gadicke

Creating is part of who I am, as I grew up in a creative family. My mother sews beautiful quilts and doll clothes and my sister is bursting with diy decoration projects. Learning new crafts and making things has always been enjoyable to me. Cross-stitch, knitting, scrapbooking... I've always had an outlet to be creative.

LG Creations transpired out of a need to fulfill a void that I felt in my life. At the time my role as a wife, a mother of two young children and an elementary school teacher was all encompassing. Don't get me wrong, I love these roles, but at the time I was so set on fulfilling these roles that I lost track of who I was outside of them.

In the fall of 2018, I was asked, "what are you passionate about?" while in a job interview. I was shocked when I struggled to find an answer, and I felt desperate to find what was missing. What was I passionate about??

It wasn't until December 2018 that I stumbled upon the path that would lead me to the answer. I decided to take the time to create myself a set of faux-leather earrings. It is amazing how one choice, one small moment, can have a domino affect on ones life. Taking time to be creative brought me an overwhelming amount of JOY and sparked a new interest.

LG Creations was created rather organically as interest in my leather earrings grew amongst family, friends and colleagues. Today, if asked what I am passionate about, I can confidently say... 

I am passionate about designing and creating beautiful handmade jewelry so that I can bring JOY to the lives of those that wear my creations.
